Cancellation & Refund Policy (English)
1. Cancellation before dispatch (after order placement)
A deposit of EUR 1,000 or GBP 850 is due upon order placement. The deposit is non-refundable, as placing the order triggers sourcing/reservation and the commissioning of restoration/logistics, which are partially paid in advance.
Because many of our items are sourced and prepared specifically for each customer, cancellation is only possible as follows:
Before we purchase the item from our supplier for your order:
You may request cancellation. If we accept the cancellation, we will refund any payments received minus the non-refundable deposit and minus any non-recoverable costs already incurred (for example, crating/packaging already completed, carrier booking fees, restoration/sourcing costs already committed).
After we have purchased the item from our supplier for your order:
Cancellation is generally not possible, as the item has been sourced specifically for you and cannot be returned to the supplier.
2. Shipping cost changes prior to dispatch (carrier re-quote / rerouting)
Shipping costs are based on carrier quotations and may change prior to dispatch due to rerouting, surcharges, or circumstances outside our control.
If shipping costs change prior to dispatch, we will inform you and provide an updated carrier quotation upon request. You may then choose to:
proceed with the updated shipping cost, or
cancel the order prior to dispatch.
If you cancel in this situation, any refund will be handled in accordance with section 1 (deposit non-refundable and non-recoverable costs may be deducted).
3. Refunds / returns after delivery
Due to the size, weight and historical nature of our products and the bespoke logistics involved (special freight), we generally offer no returns and no refunds once delivery has taken place, except where required by applicable law.
This does not affect your statutory rights if the goods are faulty or not as described.
4. Transport damage (insurance / procedure)
Transport damage is handled separately and may be pursued via the carrier (subject to the carrier’s terms and any applicable transport insurance).
Please note:
Inspect the goods upon delivery.
Report transport damage within 48 hours of delivery.
Provide clear photos (packaging, crate, damaged areas, overall view).
Normal signs of age and use on historical items are not considered transport damage.
