Shipping & Delivery

Delivery (general)

We ship our products worldwide via freight/special transport. Due to the size, weight and nature of historical original items, delivery is arranged on an individual basis.

Incoterm

Unless otherwise agreed in writing in the quote, delivery is made under Incoterm DAP.

Delivery method / unloading

Delivery is typically curbside.

Important: Under DAP, we deliver the goods to the named place of destination. Unloading, moving the goods onto private property/into buildings, and any on-site installation/assembly are not included and must be arranged by the Customer at their own cost and risk.

For telephone boxes, unloading typically requires a forklift or a tractor with forks.

Packaging

Telephone boxes are typically wrapped in protective film and then placed into a custom-made wooden crate which is closed for transport. Packaging may vary depending on the product.

Lead times

Estimated lead times are stated in the quote. For restored telephone boxes, restoration typically takes approx. 3 months (longer if parts are pending), plus transit time (typically 8–12 days depending on destination). For unrestored “Project Boxes”, lead time is typically approx. 4 weeks.

Delivery appointment & scheduling

As shipping is carried out by a freight forwarder using groupage transport and the goods may be reloaded several times in transit, it is often not possible to provide an exact delivery date at the beginning. As soon as the goods arrive in the destination country, a specific delivery date will be agreed. For smooth coordination, the forwarding company typically requires the Customer’s phone number.

Transport damage

The Customer must inspect the goods upon delivery. Transport damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos (packaging, crate, damaged areas, overall view) so that a claim with the carrier can be assessed. Normal signs of age and use on historical items are not considered transport damage.

Shipping costs

Shipping costs are calculated individually and shown in the quote.
